How TheCoinfo handles personal data.

Newsletter signup

We collect your email address, signup source and page, plus a timestamp and version of your affirmative consent. We use this information to send TheCoinfo Newsletter updates. The legal basis is consent. We do not store your IP address or user-agent in the subscriber record.

We retain newsletter details until you withdraw consent, then delete them within 30 days. We review inactive records at least every 24 months. Contact us to withdraw consent, unsubscribe or request access, correction or deletion.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics is optional. It is not loaded until you choose “Accept analytics cookies” in the banner. We retain your preference locally in your browser so that the banner does not reappear on every page. You can change your cookie choice at any time.

Security and sharing

Newsletter records are stored on our server and are not sold. To protect the signup endpoint from abuse, we maintain a short-lived, pseudonymised rate-limit identifier. Confirmation and password-reset emails are sent through Resend as a delivery provider; only the data needed to deliver those messages is shared for that purpose.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
